26th February was another day of early rise in the morning, as we have to left for Agra at 6 a.m in the morning, we instructed to get ready before 5:30. Rising before 5:30 am in the morning was almost like fighting war against the cold wind. But we managed to get up and report in said time.

We left from Delhi to Aagra early morning as we have to reach there before noon and to return by night it. We reached Aagra at about 12 am and collected tickets for visiting The Aagra Fort and Taj Mahal respectively. Both Agra Fort and Taj Mahal were belongs to the same same Mughal dynasty.

The Agra Fort, also known as the “Lal –Qila”, “Fort Rouge” or “Qila-i-Akbari”, is the highlight of the city of Agra, then capital of the Mughal Sultanate.

Agra Fort “A symbol of power, strength and resilience, as it stands today in full glory”.

We first visited Agra Fort, and then had launch at an expensive yet low quality Dhaba. Then we went to visit The Taj Mahal, there was big rush in the Taj Mahal, thousands of people come to visit the Mahal from All over the world.

The Taj Mahal

I think I’m not that much grown up to describe the essence of Taj Mahal, thought I have visited and studied a little about it.  Mahal is a global entity, it’s famous for what it is. The UNESCO describes Taj Mahal as “An immense mausoleum of white marble, built in Agra between 1631 and 1648 by order of the Mughal emperor Shah Jahan in memory of his favourite wife, the Taj Mahal is the jewel of Muslim art in India and one of the universally admired masterpieces of the world’s heritage.”

A selfie with the Taj Mahal

The Taj Mahal is situated on the right bank of the River Yamuna in the Agra District in Uttar Pradesh. It was built by Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan in the memory of his favorite wife Mumtaz. Construction of Taj Mahal started in 1632 and completed in 1648.The uniqueness of Taj Mahal is its innovative architecture, it is thus regarded as the greatest architectural innovation through out the. Hence, it is one of the seven Wonder’s of the world.
